Three Twins athletes were just recently named to the Academic All-Region list for the 2018-19 school year. Nicholas Funk and Riley Werner from the Twins Track & Field team along with Hailey Beaumont from the Twins Softball team made the list.
Softball welcomed another athlete to the team this past week at Greenville High School. Senior and soon to be Greenville graduate Jazzmin Gibson signed her letter of intent to play softball at Columbia-Greene Community College.
Four Twins athletes recently received conference honors for their performances this past season. Sophomores Baylee Cox and Kaylee Hoffman both received honors as well as Freshman Jenna Poulsen and Holly Kleinmeier.
NJCAA Region III awarded two Twins athletes Athlete of the Week honors for their performances this past weekend. Softball player, Kaylee Hoffman, and track runner, Adam Beach, both received this honor.
The Mountain Valley Conference recently announced their All-Conference team for the 2018 season. Two Twins were named to the All-Conference team. One Twin was also named to the NJCAA Region III All-Region Team.
The Twins softball team took on the Hudson Valley Community College Vikings in conference action on Thursday. The games ended up being played at Ichabod Crane High School due to the field conditions at Hudson Valley.
Softball traveled to SUNY Broome Tuesday to take on the Hornets in double-header action. SUNY Broome came into this game with a 7 –3 record. The Twins entered the game just over .500 with a 10 – 9 record.
The Twins softball team hosted their first home games of the season this past weekend. They took on the Onondaga Community College Lazers. The Lazers came into this contest with an 8 – 10 record while the Twins were 6 – 7 going into the weekend.
The Twins softball team traveled to Myrtle Beach this weekend to spend their spring break competing in the Snowbird Tournament. They met up with Monroe Community College in Myrtle Beach on Sunday to play their first game of the season.
