Twins Dealt Third Loss This Season

The Twins traveled on Sunday to Herkimer County to take on the nationally ranked Generals. The Herkimer Generals are currently ranked seventh in the NJCAA Division III. They came into this game without a loss this season, going 4-0. The Twins were fresh off their first win of the season over Jamestown Community College. They entered this game with a 1-2 record to open the season.

The Twins held off the Generals for the first nine minutes. Facing a high number of shots, the Generals eventually scored to give them a 1-0 lead. Facing a total 26 shots from the Generals in that half, the Twins allowed four more goals. The Twins were in a 5-0 hole at halftime. The Twins held the Generals to just eight shots in the second half. However, the Twins ultimately fell to the tough Herkimer team 7-0.

Sophomore Keegan Deyo was in goal for the Twins, making 23 saves on 34 shots faced. Freshman Maggie Ryan led the Twins in shots with five throughout the game.

The Twins will look to get back on track with a road trip next weekend. First, they travel to Genesee Community College to take on the Cougars Saturday. Then after an overnight stay, they will travel to Finger Lakes Community College to battle the Lakers on Sunday.
